Summary: The existing solutions to develop web-interfaces for open-source calculating packages as well as strengths and weaknesses of similar proprietor solutions for the packages Maple, Matlab, MathCad are analyzed. The results of development and testing of a calculation server for a mathematical Maxima package, which is designed to work together with the system of distance learning Moodle, are presented.
