    abstract     = {Summary: This work is concerned with applications of algebraic geometry to computer vision. Critical configurations and critical loci for projective reconstructions from 1 view in any dimension are rigorously defined. Irreducible critical loci are described. Instability of the reconstruction for configurations of points that are close to being critical is verified via a series of simulated experiments using {\tt MATLAB}.},
