In general, several functions have been developed for forecasting the final cumulative number of bugs at the debugging process stage. However, functions that are generated in order to obtain a certain type of debugging data generally contain an accidental error in the forecasted value. Therefore the present paper reports a method of generating the maximal and minimal values that form the range for the final cumulative number of software bugs using the curve fitting algorithm. rv:
