This paper deals with a single server queuing system with generally distributed synchronized services. In this queuing model, the server performs service cycles with duration following a general service time distribution. The particular characteristic of this model is the presence of binomial type jumps at the service completion epochs. The aim of the paper is to extend such a study from the Markovian case to the more general framework of non-Markovian queues. Thus, the authors provided its main performance measures, some limiting results concerning its behavior in the extreme cases of the synchronization level, and several variants and extensions.
