Summary: The topic of the paper is processing of an image approximated by a fractal set, which is generated by affine transformations, and retrieved as IFS (Iterated Function System) codes. Combination of rotations, translations and scalings provides many transforming effects needed in geometrical modelling and it is traditionally obtained by decoding an image to a bitmap which is treated further. Instead of wasting time to change image format and then apply required transformation, it can be done with encoded image by re-definition of affine maps. An original method of image compression is also presented.
