ab: Summary: The Narumi-Katayama index of a graph $G$, denoted by
    $\mathrm{NK}(G)$, is equal to the product of the degrees of the
    vertices of $G$. For various classes of graphs, we characterize the
    graphs $G$ for which $\mathrm{NK}(G)$ assumes an extremal (minimal or
    maximal) value.
