Summary: In the paper, a formal tool for description of the Japanese language in the instrumental environment NIHONGO is considered. It is based on a special list-type object-oriented language with the possibility of pattern matching. The main functional and descriptive possibilities of the language are exemplified with the morphological component of a Japanese linguistic processor.
