    abstract     = {Summary: In this paper a method for prostate segmentation in ultrasound images is presented. This method contains several tasks including edge enhancement, edge-preserving smoothing filter, speckle reduction, local contrast adaptation, and Canny edge detector to extract the final boundary. The proposed method is relatively easy to implement with some degree of adaptivity with respect to the image characteristics. Experimental results show the performance for some cases.},
