    abstract     = {Summary: The work presents the problems related to the design, implementation and application of integrated automation of flexible manufacturing systems. In particular a methodology problem of synthesis of control methods based upon selected models of Artificial Intelligence in Expert systems is considered. It can be applied especially in the areas where conventional methods of classical control theory (e.g. identification, simulation, queues theory) did not yield the satisfactory results. This in turn stimulates the development of tools for the knowledge engineering in the area of knowledge bases and reasoning mechanisms. This calls for the experts capable to solve the problems of the Expert Systems being contemporary the most spectacular reflection of the Artificial Intelligence applications. The presented work indicates the necessity to start the education of expert knowledge engineers at the university level. Until now this subject has not been dealt with.},
