In this article is described process of preparation of Slovakian version of Audacity and translation of its internet website to Slovakian language. The paper provides general concept why to use localization of a program, basic terminology and conditions under which the localization may be successfully done. It also provides understanding of terms localization and internationalization. Further more it contains description of libraries and tools used for successful localization.
