A thoroughly constructed map and techniques of investigation for differential equations with discontinuities at non-fixed moments are at the basis of the analysis. Synchronization and existence of periodic motions of oscillators, which are not quite identical are investigated. The second conjecture of {\it C. S. Peskin} [Mathematical aspects of heart physiology. NY: Courant Inst. Math. Sciences, NY Univ. (1975; Zbl 0301.92001)] is proven.
