<ab>The authors discuss the boundary element tearing and interconnecting(BETI) methods in unbounded domains. They first introduce the notion of boundary integral operators and Steklov-Poincare operators, then they define the problem formulation and the domain decomposition. Lator the authors present the formulation of one-level BETI methods for unbounded domains and the corresponding preconditioners. Condition number estimates for these preconditioners are explained, and numerical results for several two-dimensional model problems are given.</ab>
