However, differences persist and in some cases, the proliferation of proposed standards and protocols leads to increased heterogeneity. Further, the terminologies used to describe resources and activities are diverse, resulting in semantic interoperability problems and conversations between elements that have still not been addressed. The SOPHIE model for semantically describing choreographies has the potential to mediate between these heterogeneous behaviors and representations.
