Polynomial part of square root of $λ$-matrix. (Macedonian)
God. Zb., Prir.-Mat. Fak. Univ. Kiril Metodij Skopje 37, 109-113 (1996).
Assuming that a $λ$-matrix $A(λ)$ is a polynomial in $λ$ of degree $2m$, with complex matrix coefficients, the authors define a $λ$-matrix $S(λ)$ of degree $m$ to be a polynomial part of the square root of $A(λ)$ if the degree of $A(λ)-[S(λ)]^2$ is less than $m$. The corresponding computation is described and illustrated by an example.
