From the text: In the theory of speech formation, there is the problem of determining the resonance frequencies of a vocal tract and an excitation source generating acoustic oscillations in the speech tract from a fragment of a speech signal. In [the authors, Dokl. Math. 84, No. 2, 740--742 (2011); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk 440, No. 1, 32--34 (2011; Zbl 05995579)], in the framework of a certain mathematical model, the question about the unique determination of resonance frequencies from a speech signal under the assumption that the vocal source is known was considered and positively answered. In this paper, we study the possibility of uniquely determining a vocal source from a speech signal and the resonance frequencies of the tract.
