Into the first two chapters, the main error types and the specific conditions favouring their occurence are analyzed. A special attention is paid to the running errors, caused or not by fatal ``damages''. Chapter 3 presents 57 problems, generating different error types. The error sources are classified as: (1) the syntactic peculiarities of the Fortran language; (2) data types; (3) command (jump, test, cycle) operators; (4) the module organization of the Fortran programs (memory blocks, function and subroutine calls, parameter passing); (5) arithmetical instructions and numerical representation. Chapter 4 offers the solutions to the previous chapter problems. Chapter 5 is concerned with the style in programming languages like Fortran. Three useful appendices complete this booklet of interest both for beginners but also for experienced Fortran programmers.}, reviewer = {N.Curteanu}, identifier = {04016164}, }
