Families of languages defined by transition sequences are studied, following and extending the traditional approach initiated by M. Hack and J. L. Peterson. The classes of T-, G-, P-, and L-Type languages are compared w.r.t. each other and with classes of deterministic Petri net languages. The methods used are those known from the studies in AFL-theory but for the proofs the reader is usually referred to the original sources.
