[The articles of this volume will not be reviewed individually.] The book contains 62 research papers presented at the conference. The papers cover a broad range of topics in computational fluid dynamics, including numerical methods, large scale computations and applications. Problems from fluid mechanics, combustion and reacting flows, hypersonic aerodynamics, gas dynamics, convection and heat transfer, flows in turbomachinery hydrodynamics etc. are treated. A report on a GAMM- workshop on ``numerical simulation of oscillatory convection in lower-Pr fluids'' is also included. The contents of the book reflect current trends in computational fluid dynamics. Strong stimulation is clearly manifested for hypersonic aerodynamics, adaptive and multigrid computing methods, visualization and computing in three space dimensions.
