The method is based on the fundamental frequency and therefore, no a-priori information on the structure of the nonlinearity is required. Moreover, the method is not limited to Hammerstein models whose linear part is a finite-order rational transfer functions, but applies to Hammerstein models with a non-parametric linear part. The method can be easily extended to Wiener models with minor modifications. rv:
