Summary: This paper aimed at improved estimation of the ratio of population means in the presence of some missing observations. Two estimators are proposed and their properties of relative bias as well as mean square error are studied. Also, a comparison of the proposed estimators with respect to the four types of ratio estimators suggested by {\it H. Toutenburg} and {\it V.K. Srivastava} [Metrika 48, No. 3, 177-187 (1998; see the preceding entry, Zbl 0983.62006)] is given.
