The author deals with representations of random fields as an infinite sum of an interpolation series with a regular grid. Error of approximation of the field by a finite sum of the interpolation series is estimated. The presented decompositions are proposed to be used in statistical simulation of homogeneous Gaussian random fields on the plane.
