Statistical models based on this relatively unknown distribution may provide reliability engineers with a better modelling tool if inferential test are known. In this paper some powerful uniform tests are proposed for the generalized Rayleigh distribution, conditional on the value of the parameter $k$. For a point null hypothesis the test proposed here is also unbiased. The power of the tests is also calculated. rv:
