A row geometric mean method is taken for determining weights, and a geometric consistency index is taken as consistency measure. Then a new consistency improving method is proposed. An example is presented to show that this method abstains from the unreasonableness of traditional improving criteria, and the optimal improved matrix obtained preserves the original preference information as much as possible as well as improving the consistency of the comparison matrix.}, identifier = {05041123}, }
